Parking Lot Blot

Eleven cotton mouthed, emaciated Crows
Their bulging eyes blinking
Blanking, in bone dry sockets
Perused the days accumulated litter
On Stockton’s latest testaments
To historical preservation
Bricks had been banished
Asphalt had replaced Architecture
Weeds had replaced windows
And horizontal white lines
Clearly delineated the contempt
Man had, both for his past
And his future
