Ashen Amour

I love you, I love you, I love you, dear
She so soothingly whispered unto me
Instead of elation I felt strange fear
Her eyes, stark black, stared demonically
Thin fingers long…exquisitely tapered
Hair colored like flame of great Neptune’s beard
Smooth pallid skin that almost seemed papered
To obsidian eyes in trance I peered
Voluptuous, seductive, that she was
Her mouth crimson red, fresh luster on lips
Ears began ringing with an entranced buzz
Her allure was Helen’s and I the ship
I love you once more, then flung to deck
My love drained out through two holes in my neck
