A Kiss ... Never Ages

Our lips, first met pressed, under golden sun
Frivolity spread on the air so fair
You, fetching seventeen, I… twenty one
That first day, I must say, a most…charmed pair
Eyes aroused the kissing…focused ardor
Other voices faded…our world alone
No amount of gold, could compel barter
Cupid’s arrow true…embedding in bone
Many years eclipsed…that initial kiss
When butterflies with twinkling eyes, did meet
Your voice, your face, bring me an inner bliss
My life, your slave…I worship at your feet
Thy breath on my lips each day we’re parted
Nectar sweet…as the first kiss we started
