Obfuskater

Darkness, blackness, winter’s chill raining down
As sunlight’s neutered rays creep up my lawn
The clock’s arms eternally spinning around
My ebonized ecstasy so soon gone
‘Tis winter I love, bare trees, icy breath
Lengthening shadows terminate the day
Black angels and white owls duel to the death
Safe in the crepuscule…I long to stay
Time knows no margins and soon ‘twill be spring
Roses flushed red, children will be smiling
Yet my heart ‘twill ache with no cause to sing
Twas early night onyx…So beguiling!
Summer’s dawn…Earth’s revealed savage plight
Basked in ugliness…I bleed winter’s night
