Allure's Cure

Young women's beauty…seen through aging eyes
Like viewing Mona Lisa…look, don’t touch
Today’s ogled fancy…once yesterday’s prize
A fool’s errand to…believe it not such
Heart can be restrained…yet what of the eye?
Beholder cannot hold her… but still looks
A withering man’s curse…’til day he die
Found amidst pages of…uncounted books
Crinkled skin creeps…upon formerly young
Hair falls aside…or’s shaded dullish gray
“Young man” trapped inside…must stifle tongue
“Dirty old man”…a price too high to pay
The eye doth not lie…perhaps, prime duty
Worn man shall die…reminiscing beauty
