In 2010 the Dems took a “shellacking”
Delighting the “folks” who pine for “whipcracking”
A nation in debt had lost all its pride
Especially the White House…with a black man inside
The ultimate irony for those on the right
Who packed guns to rallies to protest the slight
Or, to the “antebellum acolytes” who just got it wrong
Hey, no worries, he was “white” all along
