If I Should Die Before I Wake ...

An anachronistic visitant, she buoyantly approaches
Leather sandals and toenails painted by Monet
Attired in long, flowering skirt and billowy peasant top
Strawberry blonde hair cascading atop slightly freckled shoulders
Thirty six years bewitchingly erased, enchanting my aging brain
And I awake, smiling, a rarity indeed
A flower from her hair fragrant on my pillow
